Whilst Thee (3) is one of the smaller providers of prepaid mobile phones in Australia, they still provide very good value prepaid recharge cards. Some of the best features of the 3 network is 150 free sms, 150 minutes of free calls to anyone, and double your credit (for $50 and $100 top-ups) every time you recharge your three prepaid mobile. The downside of the Three plans is that any unused credit, free sms and free calls will expire in 60 days unless a further amount is recharged in the 60 day period.
So if you are used to topping up your prepaid balance at least every two months then the three prepaid would be suited to you. There is also a maximum accumulation amount of 300 free text messages and 300 free minutes, so it is important that you actually use your free services on a regular basis otherwise they will be wasted. 3 mobile recharge cards are available in $30, $50 and $100 amounts, which is slightly higher than Telstra and Optus minimums, however, gives you lots of bang for your buck.
